If you have ever been to Portugal or are a lover of Portuguese food then you will know that Pastéis de Nata (Portuguese Custard Tarts) is the BEST Portuguese dessert! A crispy flaky pastry surrounds the custard filling that has a hint of cinnamon and baked in a hot oven to create that famous caramelised top.

The hallmark of a great Portuguese Custard Tart is simple - an egg custard that is perfectly balanced between smooth and firm with a buttery, flaky pastry that holds it form all the way through to the last bite.

Portuguese Custard Tarts are best enjoyed freshly baked and eaten on the same day. Usually the tart is sprinkled with canela (cinnamon), and often accompanied with a bica (a strong espresso coffee). You can enjoy them plain or with a dusting of icing sugar too, and they are a great accompaniment to a cappuccino as well.

We make our Portuguese Custard Tarts from scratch and by hand in small batches, and they are always baked fresh on the day of delivery.

Box Size: Choose from a box of 6, 12 or 24 Portuguese Custard Tarts.

If you require more than 24, please contact us (hello@popii.com.au) and we will be more than happy to accommodate your request. We also supply wholesale and cater for events.
